Remains - Of Love And Lunacy (2005)If you like to listen to Americans trying to sound Norwegian this will be a great album for you. There's nothing really wrong with Still Remains, though there's nothing really groundbreaking about them either. Scream the verse, sing the chorus, insert some breakdowns, repeat. All of the songs tend to run together. The only thing I really like about the band is the use of keyboards in all of the songs. The synth sounds distract me from the formulaic songs. It's nice to see a Christian metal-hard-meldo-your-name-here-core band making songs that have a message without being too preachy. God knows there have been way too many metal bands screaming "praise him", along with various bible verses and just appearing to be a mockery of religion. I can't name off any song in particular that I like, or one that I don't like. Still Remains are a decent band, but I can only take it in small doses.
