Monda
Pazza- Demo (2006)Six Songs, Fourteen Minutes, a ton of anger, a whole lot of ass kicking. Monda Pazza deliver a great mix of thrash metal, hardcore and punk. The songs are easy to listen to, fairly catchy, yet fast and heavy to make you at least consider sacrificing animals. Some of the subject matter is so brutal and blunt that you have to love it. For example "I won, you lost" and "Reasons Why I Hate You". It doesn't get much more direct. "Quality Control" seems to have the same spirit as "American Waste" lyrically. At least that's what i got out of it. Either way the song has all sorts of cool tempo changes that make up a huge part of the MP sound. It also seems to be the song that has some sort of message. The vocals are growled/screamed in a way that's easy to make out while sounding like a badass. The guitar is good, not flashy, but really getting the job done. Same goes for the drumming. The demo doesn't have the best production value but of course, it's just a demo. I'd love to hear cleaner versions of these songs. The fact of the matter is Monda Pazza are one of the better bands i've heard playing this sort of music. They're a real breath of fresh air when it comes to local metal bands. A proper Monda Pazza album would go great alongside a S.O.D. album on my CD rack. Listen to them: www.myspace.com/mondapazza - Sean www.brutalfattery.com |
