High Tension (Unrated)  2003     This movie had potential.  Two girls stay at a farmhouse. A guy shows up and starts slaughtering the family of one of the girls.  Simple enough, but great. You get sucked into this movie right away. It was more suspenseful than anything I've ever seen before. There was even a point that made me jump.  I haven't jumped to a movie in about ten years. But High Tension did it for me, and it has just ridiculous amounts of blood, gore and brutal violence. Hell, the first hour or so is just pure brutality.   Then it happened, the ending. Oh yes, every freaking filmmaker wants to have a stupid twist. I'm not going to spoil the movie for anyone who might enjoy it. All i can say is it's the same sort of ending that's been played out recently with every pseudo-art film  that's been dished out as of late. I can't take it much longer.  High Tension could have been one of the best movies I've ever seen if they just left it as "Crazy dude stalks, rapes and murders people, because he's nuts."    I'm giving it a low rating because it pissed me off to a new extreme, though i do recommend watching it at least one time just for the awesome amounts of blood and death.  2 out of 5 skulls
