does this taste funny?7th Day Creeps - Does this taste funny?  (2006)
The 7th Day Creeps CD was a nice surprise,  I wasn't sure what to expect, would this be a "woah oh"-fest or not? What I got was a CD full of fun and catchy punk rock. Musically you can hear a lot of Social Distortion and classic rock influence. A good chunk of the songs are pretty light-hearted rockers,  but songs like "Lost in the U.S.A.", "Leave Me Alone" and "Lonely Roads" display a good deal of emotion, but not the whiny kind, the drinkin' kind. Those are probably my three favorite songs on the album. I'm not big on the first half of "War/Subvert" I tend to skip through the "war" part because "Subvert" is simply awesome, it's got great "destroy the system"-style lyrics, it's fast and has all the spirit of old punk, and is great musically.
Overall the disc is pretty rocking, fun and funny. My only gripe with it was that a lot of the lyrics rhymes are pretty predictable,  a good majority of the time I could tell what was going to come up next. Then again, that's how most old punk was, and of course, one of my favorite bands is Pro-Pain. So for all i know i might actually like it more for this reason. I'd definitely recommend this CD to people who want to hear something that sounds like it falls between Social D and Haunted Garage.
