Name: Sean Farquhar
Location: Port Huron, Michigan, USA
Age: 23
General Info:
My name is Sean, not Shawn, Shaun or any other variation of the name. I
have a different sense of humor from many others, some people get it,
those people probably read this site often. I like those people.
I'm honest and loyal. I don't drive. I don't smoke. I can't stand people
that spout off catch phrases from movies, shows etc constantly, it just
seems to show that you've got nothing original to say. I hate Napoleon
Dynamite and all of it's fans for that reason alone. I can't stand the
constant "remakes" that are big in hollywood these days, The whole world
or at least this country seems to be in a creative low, and no one seems
to care. I can't stand having people comment on my Texas Chainsaw
Massacre shirt and then end up telling me that they've never seen the
original, okay it's nice that you like my shirt, but could you please
learn a little something about the art form you're watching? It's
probably a bit much to ask, I'll watch TV shows or Movies that i know
i'm not going to like because at least I'll know if i like it or not and
know what it's about. It's nice to know things sometimes, it makes
watching certain shows better just because you know what they're
referencing. I really like mexican and chinese food, I'm fat, bald and
lazy. Possibly ugly, awkward at best, deal with it, I do.
I really like drawing and painting and sculpting given the opportunity,
Most of the stuff that I make will have a horror, medieval, or sci-fi
theme, that's what i enjoy looking at and that's what I make. I have no
interest in doing most other stuff unless it's a cartoon-style monkey or
bunny or some such, I don't have many pictures of my artwork online
because I've either given it away, lost the scans or haven't gotten
around to getting a picture of it. I've been at an artistic low point
lately anyway.
I usually write all the lyrics for whatever band I'm in. I
think i do a good job, some people say they really love the lyrics,
that's cool. I really hate poetry though, it's kinda funny. I love to
read good lyrics, but if i don't hear a song going with it i get bored.
I really hate reading other people's poetry because it doesn't mean
anything to me. I know that they put work into whatever they did, but
frankly, I don't care enough to read it. I'd be surprised if most people
made it through all of this text.
Occupation: Pizza Worker, or manager, or something, i'll
tell you when i figure out exactly what I'm doing.
Hobbies and Interests: Working on websites and graphics,
Music, Movies, Lazer Tag, Drawing, Painting, Promoting, art, toys,
collection DVDs.
Other: My DVD
Collection I'd like to think that my DVD collection is
impressive, so go and gawk at it. and if you're in the area make sure
you come over and watch something.
Music:
I can't really say i listen to one thing in particular,
I hate the question "What kind of music do you listen to?" because I do
listen to a lot of different stuff, most of it isn't on the radio, some
is, some is obscure, but not that hard to find. I get into bands more
than scenes for the most part. I'm fond of good horror punk and what i
like to call "faggy rock", I'm more likely to get into bands that are in
those genres than other things. .
I don't listen to much metal these days. I don't like going to shows
unless I'm familiar with the band's material, otherwise it's a waste of
time. I hate seeing a group live before ever hearing them, instead of
enjoying the songs, i end up trying to figure out whether or not i'm
going to bother getting into this band, should i buy an album? no, what
if i don't like the band at all, and it's only tolerable because of all
the overpriced drinks i bought to get myself through the last terrible
local opener?! I just don't know what to do!

About
The Site:
Q:
What is brutal fattery?
A: That which is brutal and fat.
This site was formerly known as "Sean's World O Filth", I
started that up in.. let's say 1999. It was a GWAR fan page at first, it
was easy to get traffic but it got boring quickly, a fan page just
serves as a source of images for other fan-pages, It turned into a
personal website and the GWAR content faded out and the name stuck,
There were periods of time where i took the site down while promoting a
band or this or that but i always fell back on the World O Filth as my
home on the web. In June of 2005 I decided to get rid of the
name in exchange for something that wasn't taken from a GWAR song, at
that point it became Brutal Fattery, a site dedicated to all things
brutal and all things fat. Or that's my excuse, whatever. I just wanted
to have a name that I own instead of borrowing it from a cool song.
Reviews, Articles, a forum for me and my friends, that kind of
thing. about 95% of the stuff on the page has been made by me. I
don't enjoy searching for graphics when i can just open up photoshop or
paint and make something on my own.
Yes, i love zombies and cool skulls and vomit and chunks and the color
green. That's never going to change. I've developed a distinct
style, you can tell when something is drawn by me whether it's scribbled
in chalk on a sidewalk or if it's on one of the Brutal Fattery T-Shirts.
It'd be awesome if someday my style of drawing skulls had a name and was
treated as art. As long as this site is going there will be zombies and
skulldudes and chunks. Everyone can deal with it.
The site has been developing more and getting a purpose, the fact
of the matter is I want the internet to be the way it was when i really
enjoyed being online, making websites is gratifying, and i want to try
to get everyone working on websites again, it's really fun. Heck, a lot
of bands don't even have sites, i see flyers with myspace URLs listed on
them! what the crap? Myspace.com/blahblashittybandXXX is the extent of
publicity for them, what's with these
people? Drop a couple bucks on a domain name and look like you care.
Hopefully this site will be part of
a movement. Let's take the web back! Let's all make crappy pages, staying up all
night typing up our worthless opinions on crap no one cares about, why not?
Heck, by the end of it you actually feel some sense of accomplishment, that's
something you don't get by typing up a blogjournalspace entry. I've
been doing my classic mspaint style gifs, and i'll keep doing it for
everything, this site will be primitive, there will be frames and games and all
that other good stuff. I urge everyone else to do the same, quit doing your
pretentious photoshop jobs with scratchy lines and lens flares, it's not going
to make your myspace account look any better, get a crappy free server, join us!
let's bring back the <CENTER> tag! |
